OpenTrack prioritizes the reporting of the mother vessel to provide accurate ETAs to the port of discharge. We normalize ETA and ATA events across multiple containers on the same vessel and voyage. The OpenTrack system is optimized to standardize arrivals and berthing events at ports of discharge through advanced voyage management capabilities.

Please note that we guarantee reporting of the mother vessel and voyage number for all containers except those handled by MSC. For MSC containers, we report the current vessel because the mother vessel is not disclosed until the container has been loaded onto it. This is due to MSC operating many shorter express routes and not consistently reporting future voyage itinerary information, unlike other carriers.
